Top Rated Robot Vacuums
A robot vacuum will keep floors clean enough to decrease the frequency with which you have to manually vacuum. Choose one that has an easy navigation, can clean stairs and corners, and has a large dust bin that needs emptying only once in a while.
There are models that mop and charge themselves This is an advantage important for families with pets or children. Many of the top performers in our tests also offer decent obstacle-avoiding capabilities.
1. iRobot Roomba i3+ EVO

The i3+ EVO is similar to its sibling the i3 EVO. They differ only in that the i3+ has self-emptying capabilities. The i3+ is a good alternative for those who want a a fully automated, hands-off cleaning experience, but want to manually empty the dustbin of the robot once it gets full.
Both robots are good at removing surface dirt on floors and carpets, and they can easily navigate around furniture and other obstacles. iAdapt navigation software creates intelligent maps of your home, which help the i3+ EVO to navigate and clean in a manner that maximizes efficiency. However, unlike the i7+ or other top-rated robots that we test the i3+ doesn't have a feature for avoiding obstacles which means it can get stuck on things like power cords or socks, and it may have trouble navigating across surface transitions, such as from hardwood to rug.
iRobot suggests cleaning the area in which the i3+ EVO vacuums prior to using it. This includes getting rid of any toys or other clutter it might come across. It's also recommended to keep the dustbin and filter clean so that they don't become clogged with dirt. If the i3+'s internal bin is empty or the battery is not fully charged, it returns to the docking station and empties the dirt into the station’s external dustbin. It then continues cleaning from where it left off. The i3+ EVO's batteries last for approximately an hour and a half of continuous use. It takes about three hours to fully recharge.
2. robot vacuum cleaner best i7+
The iRobot Roomba i7+ is the top model in the iRobot flagship line and comes with all the latest features. It's self-charging, self-navigating and -- the most important feature of all -- it has a self-emptying dustbin that eliminates one of the most important sources of maintenance for any robot vacuum.
The Roomba I7+ is able to make rooms more efficient maps using Imprint Smart Mapping. It also integrates with iRobot Home to schedule cleaning tasks, and you can control your robot through the app or by voice.
The i7+ is faster and more agile in our tests than the eufy RoboVac G30. It also picked up large pet hair pieces from any surface including carpeting. Its biggest advantage over the eufy, though, is its self-emptying dustbin which eliminates a major cause of maintenance and reduces the amount of time spent cleaning.
We were also impressed by the i7+'s compatibility with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant AI services. We used these services to instruct the robot to begin or stop cleaning sessions as well as move around the room and to vacuum a particular area. The iRobot Home App made it easy to connect the i7+ to these services. We were able, once connected, to voice commands to the i7+, for example "Hey Alexa vacuum the master bedroom." The iRobot Home app also provides options to manage the i7+'s settings and monitoring its performance.
3. Dyson Cyclone V10
In a world of cordless vacs that look like minivans or buses, this tiny Dyson model is an automobile. It's got the power and features to replace a stand-up vacuum in the majority of households however, it can also fit perfectly next to the table for a coffee or a bookshelf that you can spin around like an enchanted device.
The V10 is powered by seven cells of energy-dense Lithium-ion batteries that can provide power without fading for 60 minutes. The advanced whole-machine filtering system is able to trap allergens and then releases fresh air into your home. The specialized head uses rigid nylon bristles to drive deep into carpets and collect large particles or fine dust. It has three suction modes to match the task that is being completed. It is able to quickly switch from handheld to floor vacuum, and vice versa.
This model also has a dock that charges to 100% in about 3.5 hours and provides easy access to two attachments and an clip for a wand. This is a huge improvement over older Dysons that require a long charge and are difficult to store.
The biggest issue with the V10 is its limited run time. Its claims on the market that it can last up to 60 minutes of running time are misleading as CR's tests show. This is a typical, not an exceptional, time for the battery-powered cordless vacuum. It's enough time to clean a typical-sized home but not enough to reach every spot. (A second time is usually sufficient). This model has its own advantages, however: it's lighter and more maneuverable than older Dysons cordless models and its ability to vacuum is noticeably superior for carpet floors with low pile.
4. iRobot Roomba 694
The 694 is a basic robotic vacuum that's a great option for those who don't have a lot of money to spend on the latest model of robot. It was able to pick up all kinds of debris and sizes during our testing and often went over the same area many times for an efficient clean. Its flat front makes it possible to reach the corners and the edges of walls.
Its smart navigation system uses iAdapt technology to stay clear of obstacles and navigate your home. It's not equipped with the mapping capabilities of more advanced models, such as our top picks, the i3+EVO and the j7+ Series. Because of this, it is sometimes stuck on things like phone cords or low furniture, and it frequently runs out of battery power before returning to its original location.
The Xiaomi Mi robot vacuum is superior to the Roomba 694 in most respects, as it has fewer parts that need regular cleaning It also comes with an allergen-trapping HEPA filter, has lower costs for recurring maintenance, has more advanced automation capabilities and does a better job moving itself. It also has a bigger dustbin and charges faster.
The eufy RoboVac X8 is superior to the Roomba 694 in most purposes, as it has a longer battery life, the ability to change the suction power mode by hand and comes with physical boundary strips, and is operated by your phone's voice assistant. It also feels more sturdy and has a stronger motor, and is able to perform better on floors that are bare and low-pile carpet, while providing a wider array of automation features.
5. Samsung Jet Bot AI+
Samsung is a well-known brand in home electronics. It's not a surprise, then, that they are also among the top producers of robot vacuums and mop. Their Jet Bot AI+ is equipped with cutting-edge onboard technology for navigation and obstacles avoidance.
The app offers a variety of options to customize your robotic cleaner, such as virtual barriers mopping water levels, behavior customization, docking frequency settings, and much more. It's easy to comprehend and user-friendly, as is the case with other Samsung devices.
In our tests during our tests, the Jet Bot AI+ performed well on hard floors, and it removed 86 percent of dog hair (on carpet). However, it didn't do particularly well in avoiding larger objects, like cords and socks, which was disappointing. It's also more expensive than the other models we've tested, and this could be a problem for certain shoppers.
The smart vacuum has an onboard camera that can be accessed via the app. You can also set up a live stream from the robot's cleaning station. This feature lets you to monitor your children or pets when you are away. The filter and the dustbin can be cleaned to ensure an easy, quick clean-up. The Jet Bot AI+ comes with an automatic clean station which helps to keep the robot's bin clear and maximizes suction power.
6. Black & Decker Robot Vacuum
Black and Decker robots have been designed specifically for hard flooring. They have an extra-wide cleaning path and a dustbin that is 2X larger than the competition. This allows them to clean the area for a longer period of time. Plus, they include two side sweepers to clean around edges and corners. The POWERSERIES Extreme model also includes AutoSense technology, which can tell if it's picking up dirt on surfaces or embedded dirt and then automatically adjusts its power level. It also has a smart app that lets you see the virtual map, and control the functions and schedules. You can also check the vacuum's status and send it to its dock for charging with the click of a button. The app allows you to customize the LED lights on top of the vacuum with different colors, so you can easily tell which areas it's focused on or where it's gotten stuck.
The app allows you to manually steer the robot in the event of need. My living room rug for example has a dark-colored border that can trip up some other robots. However the HRV 425BL kept moving across the border without registering it as an incline. The ability to program a daily cleaning schedule for each week is a time-saving benefit.
